The year 1945 symbolises the end of the second world war. A year, when France bursts with energy and creativity which was suppressed for too long. Driven forward with great yearning to live, the creative, literary and artistic surroundings join a
new renaissance.
Famous names call attention to themselves in the world of Haute Coiffure which should become worldwide important in a little while. Antoine, the most famous barber throughout the world of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, found worthy successors. Names such as: Alexandre, Rosy and Marie Carita, Guillaume, Antonio, jacques Dessange... were the new „archpriests“ of the French art of hairdressing.
Further young, talented and creative hairdressers are inspired and have an idea: They found a club for hairdressers with high requirements.
Charismatic figures like: Fernand Aubry, Albert Pourrière and some of the celebrated colleagues, with Guillaume in the front, plan synergies with their concepts, their creativity and their ambitions.
The HAUTE COIFFURE FRANCAISE was born:
on February 26th, 1945!
The first president was: Fernand Aubry. His successor was Albert Pourrière, other grand
names followed.
Each member manages a gorgeous salon at the golden triangle of the „Champs-Élysées“, the „Rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré“ and the „Avenue Montaigne“ and dresses the hair of the society in Paris. Their professional image already attracts an international custom. Over the years, the club also spreads into foreign countries and adds the best barbers from all over the world to its members.
Right from the start, L‘Oréal participates in this movement in Paris which spreads at international level, too. Become a member of this elite club means obtaining sweeping acceptance in this line.
Even today this applies to an extremely high degree because it is a matter of the HAUTE COIFFURE FRANCAISE salons which are managed individually and which are not member of chain salons or franchised groups!
More than 60 years of HAUTE COIFFURE FRANCAISE. That speaks in its favour. In about 40 countries, represented with about 1.250 members, it is the high claim of the label „HAUTE COIFFURE FRANCAISE“ to convey the meaning of the „French Touch“.
In this partnership with L‘Oréal Professionnel, the Haute Coiffure Francaise represents a mark of quality as well as an artistic „showcase“ for French art of hairdressing.
